In the world today, everyone is so incredibly busy with work and projects that many are missing out on being able to strengthen the family bonds through family activities. It is a very busy world today, but one must take the time to slow down and plan some things to do with the entire family in order to build strong, lasting relationships.
There are many things that families can do together that help to improve communication and family bonds. Things such as planning a family game night or a movie night are very fun. In addition to enjoying the time together people tend to talk more when they are doing some activity together. Bear in mind this isn’t a time to pressure kids to discuss their love lives or dig into their activities.
In the past, families would spend a lot of time together. Today finding a family that still sits down to the dinner table every night together is almost impossible. Part of this is due to the work schedules while part is also due to the other activities that are going on. Many times the children have activities every night, making it impossible to plan a family meal let alone any family time at all.
The best plan of attack is to find a day when the schedule is clear for everyone. This might be a weekend in many cases. However whatever day is decided upon, get input from everyone. The more varied the ages of the children, the more difficult this task will be.

I always say to the parents I work with, “Change happens quickly – but habits take a little longer” so your simple idea of finding a day when the schedule is clear for everyone so it becomes a weekly habit is a great one !

Having a family with three little ones under the age of 7 I’m always trying to find new fun family activities. A friend told me about this AMAZING indoor water park!!! We absolutely loved it! I couldn’t recommend it more!
